The Alesund-based player has signed for two PX121H Ulstein-design units at Nantong Rainbow Offshore & Engineering Equipments, Ulstein said.
The 4000-deadweight-tonne units will be delivered in the first and second quarters of 2016.
Golden Energy also has two options for same-sized units, which will be DP2 and be capable of carrying up to 30 people.
They will also be able to take a 67-tonne-capacity crane and will have an ROV deck, meaning they can be used for inspection, maintenance and repair services as well as ROV support and light subsea construction.
