Goodrich said its CMR-Foster Creek 20-7H-1 well in Wilkinson County, Mississippi, was "successfully drilled" with a 6200-foot lateral and hydraulically fractured with 23 stages.
However, the company "encountered completion issues while drilling out the frac plugs with coiled tubing, resulting in the loss of a bottom-hole assembly and fishing tools in the well", Goodrich said in a statement.
The company tried to remove the downhole tools by replacing the coiled tubing unit with a workover rig, "but fishing operations were unsuccessful".
