The Haleema-1 well is targeting oil resource potential at the block in the prolific Lower Indus basin and follows the recent gas condensate discovery in the block with the Ayesha-1 probe drilled by local operator Petroleum Exploration (PEL).
The latest probe will target the upper sands of the Cretaceous-aged Lower Goru formation, with Calgary-based Jura estimating pre-drill prospective resource potential of 10 million barrels.
