Australian junior partner 3D Oil said on Thursday that the production licence, which covers the field located in the offshore Gippsland basin permit VIC/P57, added “significant certainty” to the project.
In addition, the approval of the field development plan indicated the acceptance of the development concept and associated geosciences and engineering planning, 3D said.
TheWest Seahorse development concept comprises two production wells connected to a jack-up production unit and linked to a floating storage and offloading vessel.
