The US Geological Survey reported four small tremblors overnight on Monday morning. The largest measured at magnitude 3.0 and hit around 2:26 am local time. It was followed by three smaller quakes, the largest of which - a magnitude-2.6 - hit at 11:44 am.
The epicentre of the events were within about 2000 feet of Hilcorp's operations at the Carbon Limestone Landfill in Poland Township, where Hilcorp is developing 12 oil and gas wells in the Utica shale.
