The Morristown, NJ based manufacturing giant said the UOP agreement for the Separex technology systems follows on a previous deal earlier this year to provide equipment for eight other Brazil FPSOs in the Santos basin pre-salt.
Financial details were not disclosed.
“The high levels of carbon dioxide, space limitations, and extreme environmental conditions make natural gas clean-up in the Brazilian pre-salt fields a challenge, but UOP Separex technology was designed to excel under these circumstances,” said Rebecca Lieberta, a senior vice president in UOP's gas processing division.
