The Australia-listed company revealed onMonday that it had been notified by PNG’s Minister for Petroleum & Energy, NixonP Duban, that the PNG National Executive Council (NEC) had given the nod for thedevelopment.
Along with the approval, the NEC alsoauthorised Duban to sign the gas agreement with Horizon setting out the keyrights and obligations of the state and the licencees in relation to theproject, including fiscal terms and local content commitments.
