The Brazil independent, which this week announced its 11th well in the region with no commercial petroleum finds, is exploring the Amazon region with its 45% Russian partner, which in March closed on its acquisition of TNK-BP.
The 1-HRT-11 well in the SOL-T-172 intersected two intervals of the Jurua formation below 2000 feet but was ultimately designated a dry hole with oil shows, the company said in a statement.
