Vacanciesin the industry are up 56% on 20 months ago, according to a monthly survey ofnine top jobs portals by oil and gas recruiters Hays.
“Theaverage number of jobs posted was higher than at any time since we firststarted measuring this data,” commented Hays Oil & Gas managing directorMatthew Underhill of the survey, begun in October 2010.
The jobsboom was not limited to any one area of the industry, with exploration staff, reservoirengineering and drilling, project engineering and management as well as projectcontrols sectors all seeing increased demand, he said.
