Speaking at the 2013 Petroleum and Geothermal Open Day in Perth, mines and petroleum minister Bill Marmion said the state government was working hard to assist companies to overcome challenges and barriers that currently exist within the sector, particularly in regards to productivity.
Marmion cited the McKinsey & Company report ‘Extending the LNG boom’, stating that “higher costs were jeopardising Australia’s chances of making the most of the world’s increasing demand for natural gas.”
