The past year has seen instability worsen across a number ofstates in Middle East and north Africa, with no improvement is in sight instates such as Syria, Libya and Egypt, a new analysis has warned.
UK-based global risk analytics firm Maplecroft said that2013 saw “a significant increase in conflict,terrorism and regime instability” in the MENA region.
The analysts saidthat conflict-torn Syria had deteriorated the most in its global ranking ofpolitical risk, falling 42 places in the past four years to become the secondriskiest nation in the world.
