The SWGEZ-5 well was drilled to a depth of 8020 feet in the basement of the Pre-Cambrian age and hit 107 feet of net pay across the Late Cretaceous age Nubia and Matulla formations.

IPR said the well flowed at a rate of 3611 barrels of oil per day and 2.9 million cubic feet of gas per day during testing.

The well was drilled using the jack-up ADM-IV and took a total of 43 days to reach total depth and test.
