The UK-listed company spudded well KPL-3E-7 on Monday in the north-western area of the Kharsang field in Arunachal Pradesh.
It is being drilled as an infill development well, targeting the H-00 reservoir sand layer. The G-00 and D-00 sand layers are secondary objectives.
According to Jubilant, the well will take about three weeks to drill to a target measured depth of about 1032 metres.
