Kiewit Midstream on Tuesday announced the acquisition of Houston-based Southwest Energy, which specialises in supply aggregation, sales and logistical delivery, primarily in the Gulf Coast, Midwest and East Coast.
Rick Lanoha, president of Kiewit Energy Group, said the "booming shale play and lack of infrastructure to move product to market, whether gas or crude oil" led the company to develop a midstream subsidiary, which it formed last year.
