Reporting to the Australian Securities Exchange, the company said on Friday that the KA-03PTR well was flaring gas from the stage one shallow gas sandstone target, with preliminary flow and pressure indications “substantially exceeding expectations”.
Kinetiko said these initial observations were expected to be confirmed when the flow equipment and pump are installed shortly. Following installation, flow testing of the stage one gassy sandstones down to 250 metres would begin, with completion anticipated by the end of this month.
