The explorer has been awarded Block 115/09and has already committed to drilling one wildcat as well as carrying outseismic work.
The block covers 7382 square kilometres andsits in water depths ranging between 60 metres and 200 metres.
Apart from the single exploration well, theinitial four-year contract calls for KrisEnergy to complete 300 km of 2D and 850sqkm of 3D seismic. Seismic reprocessing will begin this year and will becompleted within the next 18 months.
