TheEl Salmiya-3 well hit about eight metres of net oil pay in the AbuRoash “C” formation and was completed as a producer.
A sixmetre interval was perforated and the well flowed at a rate of 4800barrels per day of 39 degree API crude and about 6 million cubic feetper day of gas, with no water, through a one-inch choke.
Jointventure partner Beach Energy said the reservoir was currentlyundergoing a flow after flow testing programme to determine theoptimum choke size to produce the well.
