The Australian explorer, together with its project partner Armour Energy, is currently mobilising a drilling rig and equipment to site at PEP 166 to drill a new stratigraphic core hole near the Yallourn brown coal power station.
The well is expected to expand the duo’s knowledge of the carbonaceous source rocks previously seen in the Yallourn North 1A well, located on the northern edge of the Gippsland basin and containing traces of oil.
