Citation Resources, which holds a 60% equity interest in operator LAR, revealed on Wednesday that the well had reached a total depth of 4025 feet and had intersected the primary reservoir target sections of the upper C18 and C19 carbonates.
It added the well had produced “significant” oil shows to surface and fluorescence in the cuttings from the reservoir sections.
This adds to other promising signs while drilling with Citation already reporting light oil shows to surface while drilling through the C17 carbonate sections earlier this month.
