The London-listed explorer confirmed environmental compliance approval has been received from the country’s Environmental Management Agency for its plans at the wholly-owned Goudron field.
LGO is looking to drill up to 30 infill development wells at the field, which holds current proven and probable reserves of about 7.2 million barrels of oil.
The company will soon reveal its drilling plans, but has previously said that drilling is expected to commence in February.
