The total ban on foreign security assets came to lightfollowing a meeting between senior oil officials in the country and BPexecutives.
A brief statement posted on the website of Libya’s NationalOil Corporation attributed chairman Nuri Berruien as saying “it will not allowa security presence in any form in the oil regions”.
The country’s Oil Minister Abdelbari al-Arusi also told theBP delegation that Libya continues to provide full protection to oil companieswhile the security situation in Libya continues to improve following thecollapse of the Muammar Gaddafi regime as a result of the Arab Spring.
The
