Linc announced on Monday that preparations were currently underway for its winter drilling programme on the field which has been estimated to hold proven plus probable reserves of 154.5 million barrels of oil equivalent.

Linc is planning to drill up to four wells on the Umiat oilfield between mid-January and April next year.

The head of Linc’s oil and gas division, Scott Broussard, said the start of operations at Umiat was a “significant milestone” for the company.
