LNG Ltd has sought authorisation from the FERC for siting, construction, ownership and operation of the proposed MLNG project, located near Lake Charles in Louisiana.
After extensive work on the front-end engineering design, pre-filing consultation and preparation, the company has submitted the final filing.
Work has been underway since early 2013, and has involved collaboration with local, state and federal authorities.
LNG Ltd expects to receive approvals during 2015 as they will be crucial for financial close.
