The Swedish explorer announced on Monday that the semi-submersible rig Transocean Winner had started drilling the 16/1-17 well, targeting the Jorvik prospect off Norway.
The well, which is the eighth to be drilled in licence PL338 and has a planned total depth of 2075 metres subsea, is aiming to prove the presence of additional volumes in the vicinity of Edvard Grieg.
