Joint venture partner Nido Petroleum released a statement to the Australian Securities Exchange stating the rig is waiting in Vietnam for an “appropriate weather window”.
The rig will drill the Balqis-1 well and then the Boni-1 well, which will be drilled as an exploratory sidetrack well.
It is understood both wells are designed to test the pre-Miocene basement basin margin play.
