The Japanese explorer will contract the rig from mid-July 2013 to mid-December 2013 at a day rate of $405,000, Noble Corporation said in its latest fleet status report.
The rig, capable of drilling in up to 5000 feet of water, is under contract to Shell through June 2013 in the Gulf at a dayrate of $382,000.
Marubeni could not be immediately reached for comment on more details on the project.
