A fake press release which did the rounds on 1 April claimed the company was ceasing its unconventional operations “in communities where we are not welcome” and appeared to be signed off by chief executive Peter Henderson.
It said the company planned to withdraw from all its operations from Bentley and throughout the northern rivers in the Australian state of New South Wales.
