Atlas Drilling Services will supply its Rig-3 to drill the Rosella E01 well in mid-April,pending the completion of its current contract in Queensland.
Metgasco said Atlas beat four othercompanies which participated in the tender process on the basis ofcriteria that included cost, safety, rig capability and reliability.
Rosella E01 is being drilled to testthe conventional and tight gas potential of the Greater Mackellarstructure, with the primary objective being the Ripley Road sandstonewhich was tested in the successful Kingfisher E01 well in 2009.
