The purchase includes geospace equipment, wireline units, and equipment for downhole microseismic data acquisition, MicroSeismic said in a statement.

No terms for the deal were disclosed.

MicroSeismic said its new downhole acquisition capabilities can be used on "a standalone basis" or in conjunction with its existing surface products and services, providing a "full suite of completions evaluation services" while providing clients a better understanding of "the discrete fracture network, estimates of stimulated reservoir volume, and fracture geometry and azimuth".
