The construction contract covers mechanical works at the onshore LNG facilities in Darwin and the workscope covers the erection of piping, mechanical and structural steel for the utility and offsite area.
Work on the contract will start immediately, with work expected to be completed by mid-2016.It was handed out by the lead contractor for the project's onshore facilities, JKC Australia, a joint venture between Japan-based JGC and Chiyoda and US company KBR.
