NGE’s subsidiary Western Drilling has scrapped a contract for the use of the company’s SL7 Heli rig and camp.
The company has been unable to get approval from the government but will continue to work towards approval.
Western Drilling signed a contract with a third party for the rig.
The rig was supposed to be deployed for about 150 to drill a single well, with an option for extension by another 150 days.
