Susquehanna currently operates in the Marcellus and Utica shale plays in the Appalachian basin, as well as the Green River shale in Wyoming. The Specialty Waste acquisition is aimed at expanding the reach of the "rapidly growing energy services platform", the company said.
No financial terms of the deal were disclosed.
Susquehanna was formed in 2010 and uses a proprietary system to process drill cuttings for disposal during oil and gas development.
