NFR, formerly a joint venture with participation of driller Nabors Industries, said it is also in the process of changing its name to Sabine Energy.
NFR said its deal bought out Anadarko basin assets of TLP Energy for $655 million, while the Eagle Ford assets were acquired in a separate $81 million transaction from two undisclosed independent oil and gas companies.
