The explorer has now more than doubled the inventory of prospects and leads in its Licence 1/3 from eight to 20 after structural interpretation and mapping of existing 2D seismic, as well as using reprocessed so-called pseudo-3D data.
It said a number of new Tertiary shallow gas prospects have been mapped “with a high chance of success and substantial resource potential”, with an independent resource assessment due to be issued in the second quarter.
