The Sevan Marine-designed cylindrical unit is presently due for delivery from Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) in May and scheduled to start producing from the Barents Sea oilfield off Norway in the third quarter, having already been delayed by a year.
However, Upstream has previously reported there remains “a formidable amount” of extra work to be carried out on the unit that could lead to a further one-year delay to field start-up.
