The UK, however, leads the way in terms of deals done between exploration companies in the mature province, but deal numbers are still well down on a year ago, the report from business advisory firm Deloitte found.
There were 34 offshore exploration and appraisal wells drilled across north-west Europe in the first three months of the year, according to the report compiled by Deloitte’s Petroleum Services Group.
