The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) aims to boost oil reserves by more than 7.5 billion barrels over the next decade, up on its previous growth forecast of 6 billion barrels by 2023.
However, it said reaching this new target was dependent on measures to improve recovery from existing fields and exploitation of new discoveries, and that future field projects would have to be larger than currently planned.
