The dynamically-positioned drillship Ocean Rig Mylos hascast off to the ultra-deepwater portion of the Campos basin to start anappraisal programme for Repsol Sinopec in the Brazilian pre-salt play.

The seventh generation rig, which has dual-derrick activitycapabilities, has sailed away on Thursday from the Ilha de Pai e Mae island in Rio deJaneiro state to its planned location. The journey is expected to take a fewdays.

The Ocean Rig Mylos will make its debut in Block BM-C-33,which harbors the Seat, Gavea and Pao de Acucar pre-salt finds.
