The newbuild semi-submersible, to be operated by Odfjell under a contract with rig owner Marine Accurate Well, started listing at the quayside of Bergen Group’s Hanoytangen facility after one of its pontoons started taking in water early last Friday morning, leading to the evacuation of scores of workers onboard.
Bellona has claimed the Chinese-built rig was found to have two faulty inlet valves on its arrival at the yard for an upgrade before starting work off Norway for Lundin Petroleum.
