Oleo e Gas Participacoes (QGP) said it would return the three Campos basin offshore fields of Tubarao Tigre, Tubarao Areia and Tubarao Gato.
"Viable solutions were not found for the technical economical development of these fields," OGP said in a securities filing.
The acreage was originally targeted for development following exploration at the Tubarao Azul field, which had poor production results but the company still retains.
