First output was seen on Thursday at the closely-watched project in the BM-C-39 and BM-C-40 blocks, the explorer confirmed in a market filing.
The explorer said that the horizontal well TBMT-8H was producing to the OSX 3 floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel.
OGX had announced on Monday that the well had been hooked up and that a final environmental permit was pending to get production under way.
