The average salary for oil and gas workers last year was $81,184, down from $81,924 a year earlier. That includes wages for both local workers, who averaged $68,900 a year, and expatriates, who averaged $100,600 annually across the globe.
The survey was conducted for the fifth year in a row by recruiting specialist Hays, which gathered responses from 24,000 people in 53 countries across 24 discipline areas.
