The company was chosen as part of acompetitive tendering process led by Oilex with the help of joint venturepartner GujaratState Petroleum Corporation.
The Essar Rig-4 will drill the well afterit arrives on site from Dubai, which is expected to take 65 to 75 days, withthe well set to spud during the first quarter of 2014.
Oilex managing director Ron Miller said therig contract was a top priority for the joint venture.
