The Perth-based explorer saw increased gas readings in theprimary Y zone target with the Eocene tight gas well, which reached a totaldepth of 2370 metres earlier on Monday.

Chief executive Ron Miller said that “based upon therequired mud weight and gas readings, the primary reservoir target appears toexhibit the expected over-pressure and is hydrocarbon bearing”.

The AIM-listed company is to run a set of logs beforesetting production casing in preparation for a fracture stimulation programmeat the well that has been contracted to Schlumberger.
