Speaking at Gastech, WoodMackenzie global gas research chiefNoel Tomnay said that many new sources of gas were being found but prices wouldhave to rise to meet the escalating cost of delivering that gas to market.
"North America and EU spot prices will have to increaseif new gas is to be encouraged because while there is more supply and liquidityin the market the cost of supply options is going up,” Tomnay said.
