Origin said it had taken theprecautionary measure after one of its drilling fluid suppliers,Australian Mud Company (AMC), notified it that an imported productknown as Nutplug, which is sometimes used in drilling fluids, hadbeen found to contain asbestos.
“All stocks of affected material havebeen quarantined and accounted for throughout the supply chain fromstorage warehouse to site, and specialist waste removal experts arein the process of removing that material from each location for safedisposal,” Origin said in a statement on Thursday.
