The 300-tonne tension unit, originallyordered at Eike Batista-owned OSX by the joint venture between Malaysia’sSapuraKencana and Norway’s Seadrill, will head to IHC before returning forcompletion in Brazil.
IHC had already won contracts from SapuraNavegacao to build five 550-tonne tension PLSVs, with one, the Sapura Diamante,already launched in September.
The Dutch builder revealed on Wednesday,however, that it has bagged a sixth order for a 300-tonne tension unit, withthe pipelay spread also to be supplied by IHC.
