The pair have agreed on the phase five development of the Idd el-Shargi north dome oilfield which aims to improve recovery rates and lengthen the life of the field.
Over 200 more wells are to be drilled, comprising production, water injection and water source wells, Occidental said on Monday.
The development plan also calls for the installation of facilities platforms, wellhead jackets, fluid processing equipment, pipeline debottlenecking and water source projects.
