The Kalladeina-2 well, which spudded on 1 April, hit a net oil column of four metres in the McKinlay sandstone, next to a one-metre net oil column in the Namur sandstone.
Drillsearch reported on Tuesday that a subsequent drill stem test undertaken over the McKinlay interval had produced 986 barrels of oil equivalent per day with no associated water.
The well has now been cased and suspended as a new oil discovery and future oil producer.
