The report showed that Australian oiloutput totalled 71.9 million barrels in 2013, down 18.6% on 2012'stotal.
This is the lowest lowest level since1970 when total production in Australia amounted to just 65 millionbarrels.
EnergyQuest also noted that WoodsidePetroleum was still Australia's largest petroleum producer, closelyfollowed by mining conglomerate BHP Billiton.
Despite the declining oil output, thereport showed the country produced a record volume of gas last year,totalling 2214 petajoules, up 3.1%
